Sacramento City College wrestling made a move at the CCCAA State Wrestling Championships to finish in third place for the second year in a row. SCC, winners of 7 straight BIG 8 Conference titles has won two State Championships (2013 and 2015) and finished third twice in the past five years. They finished sixth in 2014.
SCC qualified 10 of 12 wrestlers to the championships with two others going as alternates. In all, the Panthers had three All Americans and seven medalists.
