Women’s Cross Country Team Wins Big 8 Title

Haley Grieger, a freshman from Elk Grove High School, and Clarisa Sandoval, a sophomore from Davis High School, led the SCC Panthers Women’s Cross Country team to the Big 8 Conference Championship on Oct. 28 at American River College. The Panthers scored 54 points, with four runners in the top 10, to beat Diablo Valley College by 15 points.
Grieger (4th overall) and Sandoval (7th) were named to the all-conference first team, and Alyssa Ayala (9th) and Miranda Raynor (10th) earned second-team honors.
